Che shared how a new £𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 is helping fast-track commercialisation, moving lab-grown leather from the lab bench to pilot plant scale. With the support of Sartorius — a major international player in bioprocessing — BSFE is now refining production processes, identifying scale-up bottlenecks, and engaging with investors who are laser-focused on the leather space. Importantly, all of this progress is being made without diluting BSFE shareholders.

3D Bio-Tissues (3DBT), BSFE’s biotech engine room, is providing the bioengineering firepower and 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗠𝗶𝘅™ media that makes it all possible. And with 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 — from raw skins to fully tanned leather—the interest from high-end markets is real and growing.

Geoff emphasised that by raising funds at the subsidiary level through 𝗟𝗮𝗯-𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝘁𝗱, BSFE can scale without issuing new shares at the parent level. That means the value of core IP remains with BSFE, while growth in leather attracts dedicated investment.
